Technical Details & Condition:
Etching with strong plate tone on buff-coloured laid paper, with generously
wide margins. Signed by the artist in blue crayon at the lower left. This is a
proof-state etching from the series “Croquis Hollandais et Autres”
(Dutch and Other Sketches), later published in Paris by the widow of Alfred
Cadart (Vve A. Cadart).
This is an
extraordinarily fine, nearly faultless impression—richly inked and
well-printed. The sheet is in pristine condition, free of tears, holes, folds,
abrasions, stains, or handling marks.
