Note that the attribution of this print to Gabriel Perelle, rather than to his sons (Nicolas and Adam), follows the British Museum convention: ”All prints simply signed 'Perelle' in the BM are catalogued under Gabriel's name, as being head of the family” (see https://www.britishmuseum.org/collection/term/BIOG41616).

Etching on fine laid paper.

Size: (sheet) 32.5 x 25.8 cm; (dia. image borderline) 21 cm.

Lettered in plate below the image borderline: (left) “'Inventé et gravé par Perelle'.”; (centre) “5”; (right) “19”.

Condition: a richly inked and well-printed impression with wide margins around the circular image borderline. Beyond marks at the plate edge left during the printing process, the sheet is in a near pristine condition with no tears, holes, folds, abrasions, or stains.
