Jean Lepautre (aka Jean Le Pautre; Jean Le Potre) (1618–1682) or a
printmaker from the circle of this artist (e.g., Gabriel Perelle
(1604–1677) and the publisher, Jean Leblond I (Jean Le Blond) (c.1590/4–1660)
whose name is inscribed in the plate.

Etching
on laid paper with a small margin around the platemark and backed with a
support sheet.
Size:
(sheet) 13.7 x 20.3cm; (plate) 12.2 x 18.7cm; (image borderline) 11.8 x 18.5cm.
Inscribed
in plate: (lower left corner) “Le Blond Avec Privilege”
Condition:
a strong and well-printed impression with a printer's wipe mark (?) on the huddle of three figures, laid upon a sheet of millennium quality
washi paper providing wide margins. Beyond a fracture in the lower right corner
of the margin, the sheet is in an excellent condition with no significant stains
or other issues.

print is very likely to be a lifetime impression based on the strength of the
lines showing no sign of wear to the printing plate—for the total cost of AU$278
