Hand-coloured
engraving on heavy wove paper, trimmed within the plate mark as issued.
This
original steel engraving is based on a painting of the same composition by Harry

Co., facing page 214 in volume 4 of “Picturesque Palestine, Sinai and Egypt”.
This page and the complete publication are available digitally via the Internet
Archive: https://archive.org/details/picturesquepales04wils/page/214/mode/2up.
Key locations within the temple complex are identified in the plate: First
Pylon; Peristyle Court; Hall of Columns; Obelisk of Thothmes I; Obelisk of
Hatasu; and the Sanctuary.
The
impression is strong, crisp, and evenly printed, with no visible signs of plate
wear, consistent with a well-preserved early impression. The watercolour
hand-colouring is rich and vibrant. The sheet is in excellent condition, free
of tears, holes, folds, abrasions, and significant stains, with small
marks—possibly glue from the binding edge—along the upper edge.
