Beraldi 41 (Henri Beraldi 1891, “Les Graveurs du XIXe Siècle”, Paris, Librairie L. Conquet, vol. 11, p. 160 cat. no 41 [Homme d'armes: Grégory]).

The British Museum offers the following description of this print (no image): “St George, after Gregory; bust-length, looking to the right, bare-headed, both hands resting on the hilt of his sword. 1878 Etching” (

Condition: a richly inked, strong and well-printed (near faultless) impression, with generously wide margins. The margins are slightly grubby with minor stains, otherwise the sheet is in a very good condition with no tears, holes or foxing.

I am selling this extraordinarily strong etching showing a slightly wistful portrayal of the dragon-slayer patron saint of England as a long-fingered good-looking man, for AU$247 (currently US$163.03/EUR149.58/GBP128.32 at the time of this listing) including Express Mail (EMS) postage and handling to anywhere in the world, but not (of course) any import duties/taxes imposed by some countries.
