“Étude au Crayon Blanc, No. 15”), 1845, after the design by the French painter
and lithographer, Louis Henri de Rudder (1807-1881), plate 15 in
Julien’s drawing course, “Cours de Dessin”, printed and published by Aubert
& Cie (fl.c1830s–1880s) in Paris.

lithograph printed in black and a blue-grey coloured ink on heavy wove paper,
backed with a support sheet.

Inscribed in
plate along lower edge: (left) “Chez Aubert, Place de la Bourse.”; (centre) “ÉTUDE
AU CRAYON BLANC, NO. 15./ Lithographiée pa[r] Julien d’aprés
Rudde[r].”; (right) “Imp. d’Aubert & Cie.”
Condition: a
strong and well-printed impression. The upper left corner has been restored (reattached),
otherwise the sheet is in a good condition with no tears or significant stains.

19th century artists involved in creating academic studies for
students to copy, for AU$235 (equivalent to approximately US$150.87, EUR 133.63,
