Technical Details & Condition:

Etching printed on pale grey chine collé on wove paper backed with a support sheet. The design is after a drawing by François Édouard Bertin (1797–1871) and this impression is from the third and final state, printed by Auguste Delâtre (aka Auguste Marie Delâtre) (1822–1907). It was published in Paris in the art periodical “Gazette des Beaux Arts” on 1st May 1864, between pages 390 and 391.

The impression is richly inked and flawlessly printed. The sheet is in excellent condition, free from no holes, folds, abrasions, stains, or handling marks.

• Chine collé: 14 x 19.5 cm
